Time Magic

Time Magic is one of the most powerful and dangerous talents known to the Elkandu.

Chronomancers are capable of manipulating time itself, allowing them to travel through time, visit alternate timelines, create time fields in which the movement of time is slower or faster than normal, hold things in stasis, and cause or prevent aging.

In conjunction with Mind Magic, they are also able to restore memories of past lives lost in rebirth. With Seeking, they can scan time to view the past and future, effectively allowing them to create prophecies of varying accuracy. It is to be noted that while they can theoretically tell the probability of something, this is rarely actually accurate. Timeline Linear-Alpha is known for its eccentricity and the fact that the most bizarre, unlikely million in one chance tends to happen 9 times out of 10.

Time is one of the most controversial talents, feared and hated above even Speech Magic, and more frequently banned or attempted to be banned. Rarely does any attempt to ban any part of Time Magic last for an extended period of time, however. Time travel has been attempted to be banned more often than anything else.

A notable group of Chronomancers during the Rogue Winds era were the Alterans. Current living Chronomancers of notable power in the Elkandu Universe include Mika, Sedder, Kim'che, and Silver, and historically, Theryn and Aviel.
