The Elkandu frequently make use of items of magic and technology. These could range from tiny magical gemstones, to enormous spaceships that traverse time and space.

Magical items can be infused with enchantments of magical energy, marked with runes that are engraved or painted on in some manner, or a combination of both. Each method has its own advantages and disadvantages: Enchantments can be disrupted by a sufficiently strong focused blast of antimagic, while runes are more susceptible to physical damage. Naturally, the combination method provides the most resilient and permanent magical item, but also takes the most time, skill, and effort to create.

Technological items are created purely by the artifice and skill of the crafter and their available resources. While the Elkandu frequently frown upon their use and shun technology as being inferior to magic, a few, such as Suzcecoz, instead embrace it. Technology is also used extensively by mensch and weaker mages who cannot rely on their magic as much.

Technomagical items, however, incorporate the benefits of both magical and technological items, and may be debatably the most potent type of items available. Among the Elkandu, Suzcecoz is the resident expert in technomagic. While many technomagical items are fragile because of their high-tech components, physical or magical shielding is frequently used when being able to withstand a great deal of damage is a factor.
